At least Cantha HAS snow. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Elona has no snow anywhere.

You can still participate in snowball fights via temple of balthazar. Like other have said, Cantha has it's own special holidays that the other continents don't.

Wintersday isn't Christmas, it's western New Years (look at the date). It may have a lot of the trappings of Christmas, but that's neither here nor there.
So Elona and Cantha celebrate the new year coinciding with western New Year IRL, and the CAnthan's celebrate theirs to correspond with eastern New Year IRL. It's not really that complicated.

Istan is definitely in the tropics, which makes having snow in Kamadan utterly bizarre. Still, I guess they had to do something.

Faction's doesn't have Wintersday because the game creators said so, don't like it? Stop playing the game.

[off topic] And your post contributed to this thread how? [/off topic]
Wintersday was only celebrated in Prophecies until NF was released and Faction's gets 2 other events only celebrated there so I say it's a good trade off. People playing GW usually have more than just Faction's so I don't even see why there has to be a thread like this every year. Anet doesn't want to have Wintersday in Faction's, they make the games it's their decision in the end. If you don't like it then bring it up with them.

The fact that the OP was satisfied, and said thanks for answering his question, yet you ADHD wiz kids continue to necro this thread. Seems very relevant.
Someone put a silver steak in this minion.
